“CELEBRATING NIXON LEGER! 25 Years of Art from Haiti to Rhode Island Solo Exhibit”
This exhibit celebrates the Nixon Leger’s work for 25 years as a notable professional artist from his native Haiti to his arrival and integration into the art scene in Providence Rhode Island. Nixon has created an amazing body of work in a variety of media on canvas, board and found objects. Since his BFA in studio art at URI, Nixon has continued to explore and expand in a variety of styles and techniques, reflecting symbols and images from his cultural origins, his faith and his vivid imagination. Gallery Reception: February 17, 6 – 8 p.m. Free and open to the public. Note that COVID 19 may continue to require the wearing of masks and other restrictions in the building.
