The Red Baiters series feature the characters and settings of my fanciful world of the Reds and Greys. In my time-bending universe, I metaphorically examine the disturbing income and justice disparity of our times. The Reds have all the power and money, great clothes, and are situated in the eighteenth century. In my world, the Greys, who do all the work, are using early 20th century tech. But is their situation post-apocalyptic, a refugee camp or a time throw-back? What does this lopsided power portend for society?
The digital images are created using large scale cut-out, drawn figures and 3D constructions, all set within manipulated photos that conceptually reflect the world of the Reds and Greys. I have traveled extensively to capture my ideas about my fictive construct.
