Every day I turn letters into bubble letters. Greedily, I play with lap and overlap. The spaces between text and the characters themselves are compositional components. Adding the unknown, non-English alphabets or runes impels my creative process; calligraphy with its fluid romance and non-western direction calls to me strongly.
In paramount, my paintings are a sojourn in color and mark, an ephemeral moment, the world I walk through. They are an affair with hue and value, a call to twain desires of illusion of tactile objects and passion for calligraphy, scratch or crosshatch and for color, illustration or field.
