I was born in France and the views and images of my life there are continually in my mind. This piece was created simply by instinct during a time of turbulence and depicts vague memories and melancholy. As you look at this collage imagine Saint Saturnin, the village in France where I spent my summers as a child. This most incredible little village with narrow winding streets and alleys, and a massive castle on its highest point is my source. More of Desautels’ work may be seen at www.brigittecards.com
