At a young age, H. Gray Park was already identified as a natural talent and was placed in talented and gifted programs. During his third year of college, Gray spent four months in England at the Winchester School of Art. He then painted in Scotland for several months the following year, inspired by the fishing villages and the shapes and colors of the boats, capturing the essence of his subject matter. Gray is a plein air painter, known for large East Coast landscapes from life. Other creative interests also lie in the restoration of antique boats, antique paintings and other inspired metal projects.

Artscope 63, September/October: Relief Sculpture

Your work could be Artscope Magazine‘s next centerfold. Work by established and emerging artists welcome.For the September/October issue, we will be accepting submissions of Relief Sculpture. Please send up to three digital still images (if chosen, minimum for the images must be reproduced at 300dpi). Also include your statement. Send submissions to: centerfold@artscopemagazine.com, no later than August 10, 2016. Though smaller files may be submitted, images must be available to be reproduced up to 9″ x 12″ at 300 dpi dependent on your work selected by the jurors. Entries not following these specifications will not be considered.

No resumes please; the cover piece will be selected based on visual and/or conceptual quality, by a jury of one Artscope staff member, and two New England art professionals.
