In response to dramatically changing political, cultural and social landscapes, both artists use the figure as a primary element in their complementary work.

“Jo Sandman: Glyphs” 

Sandman’s interest in glyphs as visually poetic language began at Black Mountain College and continues to the present. Collage, sculpture and photography, 1951-2014.
